Painters' Progress - The Action Shots!

The new collection is coming along nicely. The physical aspect of painting is important for me to produce the correct layering of colours and equally for the subtraction of colours. Easels restrict large fluid brush movements and so I simply lay the canvas down and work away.

I recently discovered this opportunity for increased exposure courtesy of the Guardian. Fortunately I hadn't missed the closing deadline and created a painting for this comp. Having lived in London and being a daily commuter I feel that I'm well qualified to submit my piece...

Home Studio Screenprint No. 2

This is the design I'm working on to produce my next print. Now I've pretty much got the technical side of photo emulsions down to a tee I thought I'd go for an ambitious seven colour job. It'll take a while but should be worth it in the end...

Painting Progress

Progress is slow as I'm only able to practice in my studio at weekends but I'm relatively happy with the way these images are going right now. Each colour tends to take a few days to dry, quicker in this hot weather so I don't feel that I'm wasting too much time. One canvas is already complete...








Acquire Arts Exhibition, Battersea, London

It was a fantastic event from all of our staff who organised this and just as fab to be involved in exhibiting. Those of us who hung artworks were all impressed at how successful the evening was and we'll definitely arrange more events like this in the future. Enjoy the pictures from all the creatives at QVC!
